Balloon Festival - Lake Havasu

In all the years we've been coming down here, this is something we have never done, so today we decided to make the one-hour drive and head on over to Lake Havasu to partake in the Balloon Festival.

The Mass Ascension took place at 7:45 a.m. and we didn't get there in time to see it. Not because we missed it, we hadn't planned to be there that early.

There was another one scheduled for 5 pm (weather permitting), but as things turned out we weren't there for that one either.

There were activities going on all day: skydivers falling from the sky, balloon rides, stage entertainment, Classic Car show, vendors, food court.... I could go on and on, but our truth was once we walked around for about 2 1/2 hours we'd had enough of the festival and decided not to hang around until 5 for the next Mass Acsension.

So we had late lunch at Juicy's Bar and Grill (voted the #1 place to eat in town) hung around the area for awhile then made it home around 4.

Happy New Year!!

We want to wish all our family and friends the very best of 2015.

Yesterday Darlene & Ed and Paulette & Mark arrived in our park.  So we are looking forward to a few months with them.

New Years Eve Dance in our park began early (6:30 pm) with a nice selection of sandwiches and extras.  There were two door prizes and a 50/50 draw which Paulette won - $50.00 more or less!!

We were on New York Time and the countdown began at 10 pm. But in the time between we all had a good time, a little dancing, and lots of visiting.

The karaoke was set  up and a few got up to sing.

And line dance.

Cheers to you all in 2015!
