Balloon Festival - Lake Havasu

In all the years we've been coming down here, this is something we have never done, so today we decided to make the one-hour drive and head on over to Lake Havasu to partake in the Balloon Festival.

The Mass Ascension took place at 7:45 a.m. and we didn't get there in time to see it. Not because we missed it, we hadn't planned to be there that early.

There was another one scheduled for 5 pm (weather permitting), but as things turned out we weren't there for that one either.

There were activities going on all day: skydivers falling from the sky, balloon rides, stage entertainment, Classic Car show, vendors, food court.... I could go on and on, but our truth was once we walked around for about 2 1/2 hours we'd had enough of the festival and decided not to hang around until 5 for the next Mass Acsension.

So we had late lunch at Juicy's Bar and Grill (voted the #1 place to eat in town) hung around the area for awhile then made it home around 4.

We were there for the morning one! Sorry we missed seeing you!
We will be back to LHC for the Pyrotechnics (Fireworks) in February. Will you be there then?
