(l to r: Michel & myself, Roger & Ann-Louise, Denis & Janine)

Today the Quilting Ladies displayed their quilts, so after coffee we walked around in awe at the beautiful 'works of art'..... There were far too many to post, but here are a few - you get the picture!!!!

This is the one that Janine (in above picture) is working on. This was her first quilt - a lot of hours went into it - What an awesome job!!!

And last but certainly not least - a picture of the quilting group. Can't post the names of all because I don't know them......but there are a couple who appeared in earlier posts - Judy and Janine!!

HAPPY HOUR!!

We had an enjoyable happy hour with new friends, whom you've all met in my last blog (clockwise 12 to 3 :Denis, Michel, Ann Louise and Roger)
We visited and laughed and visited some more - oh and had a few ceasars inbetween. Our happy 'hour' turned into 4 hours. But we are all still talking so all is good. We are down to the last two weeks here. Time sure has flown by.

We are table #1 - oops I mean 16
Looking pretty green - - new friends and fellow Canadians (l to r) Denis, Roger & Ann Louise, (all from Ontario) and of course myself. We had a wonderful corned beef and cabbage dinner this evening in celebration of St. Patrick's Day.

Last Friday, we had a birthday party for one of the girls in the exercise class. There are usually 8-10 of us 'walking away the pounds' every morning at 8:00...

This is Judy the birthday girl - as you can see by the table we ate good stuff - fruit and angel cake.....

We are enjoying our time here at Fiesta RV Park in Bullhead City. There is so much to do. Michel's been playing Texas Hold'em and I've been painting. They play bridge here on Tuesdays, so Michel went to try it out. I don't play bridge, but we both went to play Eucher last Monday evening, then went for ice cream!!! We go to Walk Aerobics Monday thru Friday, so we're actually getting some excercise, which is a good thing because we certainly haven't stopped eating!!! We haven't spent too much time in the casinos. The pools and the hot tubs are nice and we've been using them quite a bit. We go for a nice soak in the hot tub every morning after excercise class - it's our reward!!! Anyway, we've met a lot of really nice people and are finding that time is going by very fast. Too soon we'll heading home..brrrr...Hopefully we will bring the sun home with us, cause we've heard the weather isn't very spring like.

We arrived here at the Fiesta RV Park in Bullhead City on March 1st and we'll be staying here for the month. It's a very nice, clean RV park, the people are super friendly and there is so much to do (planned activities) that if we get bored it will be our own fault.

Here are a few pictures of home for the next month:

#1 - the Entrance

This one is of the Clubhouse and Pool area. But only 1/2 of it. It's a horseshoe, so it goes around the opposite side as well. There are 2 pools and 2 hot tubs; a very nice billiard room with 4 pool tables and 1 snooker table; card building, sewing room, craft area, a large laundromat with new front load machines..........

The Lounge area. Through the double doors is a huge dining hall, with a full service kitchen, a stage and seating for at least 200.

The Library - there are many books to read; all four walls are covered with shelves and soft cover books - all alphabetically organized by author.

This is a panoramic view of the Park - there are over 300 sites. Right now we were told there are 500 people in the park.....

There is a story around this park. Apparently this 47-acre, Spanish style resort was built by Wayne Newton. He had intentions of making it into a Casino-Resort, but he couldn't get the casino license.
