Our deck is complete.....
We took part in the Rock Creek Fall Fair this past weekend. Michel and I joined Citizens on Patrol in Greenwood, and our first 'tour of duty' was Security at the Fair. For such a small town they put on quite an impressive Fair. Last year there was over 8000 in attendance and I'm sure they will have come pretty close to that again. We had day time security so all we had to do was walk around the fair grounds and enjoy all the events..... these pictures were taken at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday morning - before the rush!!
My son and his family were in Kelowna this past weekend. It was a nice surprise when he called on Saturday night asking if we had plans to go to Kelowna . We hadn't planned on it, but of course we did. We spent two great days there - Sunday and Monday. On Sunday we rented a boat and took the kids for a ride - Melody's first boat ride, and she squealed with delight. Here is Melody with her Mom (Khrystal) and with ther Dad (Farren).
We had a visit yesterday from friends Trevor and Carol. They are friends from Vernon, whom we met at Teacapan, MX last winter. They were on their way home from a 4-day camping trip with a group of antique car collectors and found their way to our place. What a wonderful surprise. They were driving their 1950-something BelAire and pulling a little trailer. And only too late did I think to take a picture of the car and rig ..... BUT - we had a great visit, chatted up a storm over coffee for a few hours.
