Michel walked his lovely daughter Alisha down the 'grass carpeted' aisle this past weekend in an small and intimate ceremony in her mother's backyard. There was a gathering of about 35 people including only immediate family and a few close friends. They had a beautiful day with the temperature around 37 degrees.

Meet the new bride and groom - Robert and Alisha Wald.

In this picture we have four generations of Lamontagnes - - - (l to r) Kayden, Richard, Ulrich and Michel

The skirting is done - and what a difference that makes!

We still have to skirt in the deck, and put up the railings, but Michel put the stairs together and did a wonderful job. Our place is really beginning to look great. We sure do enjoy our deck!!

Michel's Dad and Uncle Jean Guy drove down from Kelowna for a visit. Our first overnight guests! It was nice to have them here. We had a good visit.

We've made quite a few trips back to Kelowna to shop and visit, and one quick trip to Edmonton in June for a wedding, then I went to Grimshaw for two weeks to get to know my little granddaughter, while Michel came back to Greenwood to begin construction on our deck.

He managed to get the holes dug for the footings, but we were a month without power, so not much 'construction' happened until July. (in this picture he's pouring the concrete for the footings). Finally on July 3rd - we had power! And only a temporary pole at that. And Michel sure has been busy since then.

Here's a picture of the deck - as it was in the beginning. Michel busily building....

Our deck is now finished except the railings.

Look at that deck - itsn't it wonderful!!

Greenwood, BC

I can't believe how long it's been since I've updated this blog. We've been without internet since June 9th and finally today we're back on line!!

Our mobile home was moved onto our creekside lot on May 30th. We had planned, at that time, to just come back and forth on weekends to Greenwood, but Michel's job at Burnco was so part-time that we just decided to move. So we've been living full time in Greenwood since June 9th.

Homeward Bound.
Left our friends Rich and Tina around 9:30 heading north toward home. Arrived in Seattle in time for lunch, so we tried out the Space Needle's rotating restaurant. Expensive - but worth the price. The view from up there is awesome. The food is pretty good too, I should add, but at $25.00 (each) they were the most expensive burgers we've ever had.......

The view from the top is awesome! Here are a couple of pictures looking down at Seattle.

Olympia, WA - Tumwater Falls Park

We didn't just sit around all day drinking beer, but we could have..... we drove into Olympia for the afternoon to see a few of the sights. These pictures were taken at Tumwater Falls Park, and this waterfall you see is THE waterfall that appears on the cans of Olympia Beer (the factory being in behind - you can see a little of it to the top left).
This picture of Tina, Rich and Michel was taken on the bridge over the falls. That is a restaurant in behind them.

Then we drove to the State Legislature Building.
Can't go to Olympia and not get a picture of that.
