November 8th.
The border opened and we were on our way.
We crossed at the small border crossing in Midway (called the Ferry/Midway crossing) about 10 minutes from our home, and it was smooth and quick. This border only opened at 9 a.m. but by 9:06 we were cleared and on our way.

Here we are on the small Ferry.

So the first day ended in Pendleton, OR. as per usual, where we stayed in the parking lot with hundreds of other RVers at the Wild Horse Casino. "Dune" was showing at the theatre there so we took that in. It was very good, but 3 hours later the wind that was only wicked when we pulled in, turned into torrential....and we got home to our awning flapping. Michel did what he could do to secure it, and we moved so that the wind was against the other side. The next morning, he jimmy-rigged a fix and we got back on the road.

The second day, uneventful thankfully, we spent the night in Jackpot. Third night in at the Walmart in Bullhead City.

The third day we were in Quartzsite AZ for lunch at Silly Als. They always have the best pizza, and did not disappoint again.

Silly Als Pizza

Large Silly Als Combo.

After lunch we made it to Yuma and stayed at the VFW for a few nights. We went to Algodones on Friday morning and managed to get all our DR stuff done, met up with Rich for lunch at Molcas (no Tina this time, she had fallen and put her back out, so was laying on the couch at home). We stopped to say hi to her before we headed back to the VFW. Saturday morning Michel's crown was ready so we were in and out of Algodones by noon....

Left on Sunday morning, arrived at Rainbow Spa, Desert Hot Springs about 11:00. It's good to be back here. We look forward to spending the winter.

More later. Thanks for reading.
