So much has happened since my last post I’m not sure where to begin.  We’ve been in New York for the past week and so busy I’ve had no time to come up for air let alone blogging. And the internet at this park was not very good, to be honest. We booked into the Liberty Harbor Marina and RV Resort for 7 days. But don’t let the name fool you, it is far from a resort. It’s a parking lot with power and water hook ups.  And the price was outrageous - $93.00 a night! But the proximity to everything cannot be beat.  It is right at the Marina in Jersey City, only a couple of blocks to the ferry to New York and only 5 bocks to the subway.  And it has a long-distance view of the Statue of Liberty, though we were facing the wrong way for a view!

The first day we just got settled in then took the Ferry to Staten Island.  Here we just walked about, walked along the waterfront.
This monument on the boardwalk is a tribute to the New Jersey people who lost their lives on September 11th

All the names are listed on these two pillars that line up perfectly with the position of the two towers on the other side of the river.

Playing with the camera along the boardwalk.

We decided the best way to see New York was by tour bus – no driving – no parking – just sightseeing!!   So we bought a 3-day hop-on-hop-off bus pass on the Big Bus and the New York City Pass, which gave us free admission to over 80 of the top tourist attractions for 5 days, so we were ready to go!
