Happy American Thanksgiving!
We are now in Desert Hot Springs, enjoying ourselves in one of our favorite parks, Catalina Spa, and we were very thankful to share Thanksgiving day with good friends. Spent the afternoon at the pool with old friends Chris & Mike then met up with new friends Merle and Ray; and old friends Rich and Tina.

We started out with happy hour at our place then carried on to the upper clubhouse for a feast of turkey and all the fixins'. Ate way too much, but enjoyed every bite. It's great to be able to celebrate twice!!

Colorado River Oasis RV Park, Ehrenberg, AZ
We've been in this park since Monday. It's a nice park located on the Colorado River, with friendly people, but once again it's not even half full. Ehrenberg itself is very small with nothing there, but it's only a few short miles west on Hwy 10 to Blythe for shopping or restaurants. Here are a few pictures of the park - and around the park.
Here is a picture of the cute little cabins they have in the park.
There is a HUGE heated pool, and really nice hot tub, but once again it's hardly used. I took part in the water aerobics classes every day, and as you can see the classes are not very big. But that is okay, we enjoyed the pool anyway......

Still in Arizona...
We spent this past week in Salome, Az at an RV park in the desert called Desert Vista. It's a basic RV park with a nice pool and hot tub which nobody uses. We did for the first few days, then it got too cold. Unlike other parks, there were no scheduled events or activitites, except cards in the evening in the clubhouse. The people here ATV .... but the park itself is far from full - far from half full to be sure....
We went to Quartsite on Wednesday to celebrate Tina's birthday - they drove in from Parker and we shared two HUGE pizzas from Silly Als. If you ever had pizza from Silly Als you'd agree that it has got to be one of the best pizzas you've ever eaten!!
It's been cold and windy the past few days; today it's about 60F with a cold north wind so we've had a few 'indoor' days reading and doing internet stuff.
Today we'll move along - one night drydocking in Quartsite then checking into an RV park in Ehrenberg, AZ. Our last stay in Arizona, one week, then we move on to California.

Our stay at Emerald Cove RV Park just would not be complete without a trip to the Desert Bar. It's a great little bar (not so little any more - the owner keeps adding on) located 4 miles or so into the desert. There is always live music - and it's always surprising at how many people make the drive to 'hang out', sip a few beers and dance. On our way back we stopped to eat dinner at a Mexican restaurant. Can't remember the name of it, but we'll never forget where it's at . Awesome food!!! We'll certainly be eating there again.

Emerald Cove RV Park, near Parker, AZ
In this picture is: (l to r) Michel and myself, Grant and Farrel, Rich and Tina
We met up with friends Rich and Tina in Laughlin, and they introduced us to their friends, and first year RVers, Grant and Farrel. Tina, Grant and Farrel all went to school together. We spent the week at Emerald Cove RV Park catching up with Rich and Tina and getting to know Grant and Farrel. We really enjoyed their company and were very sad to see them leave. (Grant & Farrel had been travelling for 5 months already and were on their way back home)
