We bought a mobile home!!!

No, we haven't yet sold our motorhome. In fact we've only just begun to advertise it. Michel is still working away at Burnco and so far I'm still 'keeping busy'.....

Anyway, back to the mobile home - We're going to have it set up on our creek lot in Greenwood. It's a lovely home, 14 x 66, with more room than I'll be able to fill (for awhile anyway). Compared to living in the motorhome, this will be HUGE!!! It has two bedrooms, one at each end, two bathrooms, an open kitchen/living room, with french doors in the living room, and a bay window in the second bedroom (which will face the creek). It's perfect for our lot - there are virtually no windows on the back side (no door either) which will face the fence, and nice big windows on the front side which will look out onto the creek. Our deck will cover almost the entire front side. We're both quite excited about it, though we won't be moving to Greenwood any time soon. We hope to have it delivered to Greenwood in Mid May, and we'll travel back and forth on weekends and such to work on the fencing and decking and skirting. Hopefully we'll live in it before we leave again in the fall, but it is the place we'll come home to next spring.

Look at this kitchen - the cupboard space - what will I fill them with. I don't have enough 'stuff' - oh well - I guess we'll have to SHOP!!!!

Motorhome For Sale

We've decided that we'd like to sell our home on wheels. We'd like to get something just a little newer and with another slide (or 2). We've lived full time now in this unit for a couple of years and everything works and runs well.

It has 69,000 miles on the 300 CAT diesel motor, and those miles that we put on have been trouble-free.

So if anyone out there is interested - or knows of someone who may be interested - we've created another blog with all the details. Go to

Kelowna, BC

Home Sweet Home!! We crossed the border on April 1st. and it was sure good to see everyone again and give them big hugs. We stayed our first week in Winfield at Holiday Park while we got our 'stuff' in order - you know what I mean - car insurance, taxes, visiting, deciding what to do next??!! It's been a busy week.

Looks like we'll be staying around Kelowna for awhile, as Michel has started working for Burnco, driving a concrete truck. We'll be moving our motorhome to the West Side and residing at Lighthouse RV Park for the time being.

We celebrated two birthdays last Saturday. My grandson Tristan turned 11 on March 23rd and Michel celebrated his 58th on April 3rd. Here is a picture of the two of them blowing out the candles on the cake they shared. It was sure a yummy cake - chocolate mousse - sinful!!!!

Laughlin, Nevada

We're only a few days from being home...... Leaving tomorrow morning (March 30th) and planning on being home on or before April 2nd.
In the mean time, we're here at the Aquarius Casino in Laughlin, Nevada staying in our complimentary room. We have spent a few hours in the casino, Michel at the tables, myself at the machines. We also received complimentary tickets to the River Rodeo and to see Travis Tritt. So, in a way, I guess our hours in the casino were worth it????
We spent a fun-filled few hours in the sun at the Rodeo watching the Bronco Riders, Steer Roping, Barrel Racing and Bull Riding. There was even an entry from Canada in the Barrel Racing, a young girl by the name of Kelly Rycroft, who hails from the Grande Prairie area of Alberta.

Then in the evening we went to see Travis Tritt in the outside Amphitheatre. There were no bad seats and he put on a fabulous 2 1/2 hour performance singing some of his old songs, some of his new ones and even some from other artists.
